waking dreams, ripped at the seams
bittersweet and fragile, complacent - serene
fantasy without slumber
barely waking, trembling, shaking
dawn's faint kiss
no warmth, nor bliss
all-knowing, all-consuming
sanity depriving, coy and conniving.
thrill seekers, dream weavers, non believers
illiterate and mundane, uncertainly insane
wanting, daunting, taunting
these waking dreams, ripped at the seams.
